Information RIOS processes

With the merchant’s authorization, RIOS reads shop identity, currency, orders, order lines, discounts, taxes, shipping charges, refunds, transaction fees, product or inventory identifiers, and available unit costs. RIOS does not request customer names, customer email addresses, shipping addresses, or marketing profiles for its FP&A functions.

RIOS stores the Shopify installation session, merchant-entered financial assumptions and targets, saved decision records, plan status, and limited operational metadata needed to secure and operate the app. The current release calculates commerce actuals from Shopify data when the dashboard is loaded rather than persisting a separate order-history warehouse.

How information is used

Information is used to authenticate the store, calculate financial metrics and forecasts, display data-quality limits, enforce plan access, maintain security, support the merchant, and comply with Shopify requirements. RIOS does not sell merchant or buyer data and does not use Shopify data to advertise unrelated services.

Sharing and service providers

Information may be processed by infrastructure, database, logging, and support providers used to operate RIOS, subject to contractual and security controls. Information may also be disclosed when legally required or to investigate abuse and protect the service. A current subprocessor list is available from the privacy contact.

Retention and deletion

RIOS retains stored merchant configuration and decision records while the app is installed or as needed to provide the service. Shopify’s mandatory data-redaction requests trigger deletion of associated shop-level records. Merchants may also request access, correction, or deletion by contacting the privacy address below, subject to legal obligations.

Security and international processing

RIOS uses HTTPS in transit, restricted production secrets, authenticated Shopify sessions, verified webhooks, and access controls appropriate to the service. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Depending on the selected infrastructure providers, information may be processed outside the merchant’s country with appropriate contractual safeguards.
